Premiere Tomball Teams Up for a "Home" Run
It was a night of fun for movie-goers of all ages at Premiere Cinema in Tomball for the hugely-popular animated film from Dreamworks "Home".
From 4 - 10 everyone in attendance enjoyed a variety of activities including a Spin-To-Win game, coloring sheets, face masks, a cartoonist, and Boov the alien featured in the movie. Many entered drawings for giveaways of Movies-For-A-Year at Premiere Cinemas! A youth bedroom set was also set up in the lobby by Ashley Furniture's Accessory Outlet Furniture and awarded to a lucky recipient!
The movie opened to an impressive $54 million gross opening weekend, easily the week's top film.
A favorite for the kids at Premiere was getting to visit with Zoi the Cat from Abandoned Animal Rescue (AAR). AAR is a local "no-kill" animal shelter located in Tomball. AAR, and one of the major beneficiaries of the day's activities. "Tonight was a great opportunity for us to reach out to the community," said Monica Flick, AAR intake volunteer. "We take in so many animals from the community."
According to Ms. Flick, the main objective is educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering your animals, adding that only 10% of the animals they receive have been spayed or neutered.
Premiere's Director Jennifer Mendoza who put together the day's events, said it was amazing to see such an incredible turnout, and wonderful to see so many people donating to AAR, noting over $600 was raised for the organization's efforts.
