Premiere's All-Star Cast Named #1 Contributor to Salvation Army in El Paso

"The Staff at Premiere Cinema, Bassett Place ROCK!!! They outsold anyone else in El Paso for gifts to the red kettles to benefit the Salvation Army of El Paso as of 12-5-09!" proclaimed Robin Bagley Bottjen of the El Paso Salvation Army Chapter.

"I am in awe of how fast those kettles got on the walls there!"

Local Premiere Cinema Director Martin Watson said he and his staff received the announcement enthusiastically and added they had a great time promoting awareness and raising money for the Salvation Army's iconic red kettle cause. "We've always understood our role is bigger than just showing movies, we are here to support residents in our community because they're the ones who support us," he said of the results. "We are honored they allowed us to do it."

The Bassett Place Mall Premiere Cinema 18 has become a favorite among El Paso movie-goers since its debut in 2007. The cinema converted all of its auditoriums to digital projection this year including four auditoriums equipped with 3-D technology.

Marguerite Byers is Co-Chair of the Salvation Army. "Premiere Cinema's Star Staff are so giving and kind, they are absolute angels in my book!!!" she said in a press release. "We truly appreciate your hard work. Thank you for helping us DO THE MOST GOOD!"
