Opportunity Fundraiser at Premiere a Big Success

The red carpet rolled out for star treatment in Burleson Tuesday night, as movie-goers were photographed and welcomed to a sold-out catered dinner party and movie event celebrating Mayor Ken Shetter's Burleson Opportunity Fund (BOF).

A dazzling Marilyn Monroe impersonator and musical entertainment greeted guests entering the Premiere Cinema 14 at Burleson Commons. Attendees enjoyed a full evening of dancing and dining, enjoyed goody-bags and prizes, and stayed to watch a movie of their choice in Premiere's all-digital auditoriums, including a screening of "The Imposter" which was filmed in and around Burleson.

Premiere Director and industry veteran Mike Harris said he hopes this will be an annual event. "We host lots of great events throughout the year and this was one of the most fun and celebrated evenings to hit Burleson in a while," he stated. "We have an excellent partnership with the City of Burleson and area residents, and they know we are here to serve them in every way possible, that's our role."

The BOF is project promoted by Burleson Mayor Ken Shetter, and is a unique partnership between the City of Burleson and local residents designed to fund higher education at Burleson's Hill College. For party video click on the Star Telegram Video Link below.
