"Red Canvas" Debuts "In Space" and at Premiere

The stars turned out at Premiere Cinema at Orlando Fashion Square at the world debut of the new martial arts film filmed entirely in RED format, "The Red Canvas". The film also marked first movie ever to be beamed by NASA directly to astronauts orbiting earth on the International Space Station.
"Red Canvas" director Ken Chamitoff's brother Greg is currently living and working on the International Space Station and Ken didn't want him to miss the world premiere in Orlando. The solution? Ken arranged for NASA to beam the signal directly to the space station so that they would watch the premiere also! Reports are the space station event were completely sold out with "floating room only', as everyone on board the space station on Mission
STA-124 watched the amazing fight scenes filmed in the RED format while circling the planet. The link to the current mission can be viewed

The film stars black-belt superhero Ernie Reyes Jr (also one of the stuntmen in Indiana Jones 4) and George Takae, (SULU from Star Trek) as his arch nemesis. Neil Smith of Hollywood DI said "Not only will the world premiere of 'The Red Canvas' take place out in space, but George Takae is the first ex-Trekkie to star in a fight movie shot on RED and screened in space."
