Customers treated to Eye-Popping transformation of Plant City Cinema

Customers arrived in droves to witness the transformation of Plant City's Lake Walden Square cinema into a fabulous new state-of-the-art Premiere Cinema complete with stadium seating, digital sound, customer self-serve station, arcade, and Premiere's signature high-back rocking-reclining love seats. The transformation marks the culmination of a massive renovation and restoration of the facility by Texas-based Premiere Cinema Corp. into what one amazed local customer who attended the opening with her husband "absolutely eye-popping; I can't believe what I'm seeing!"
"Plant City has been without a theatre for over a year," according to Premiere spokesperson Iris Demers who moved to Plant City in April specifically to assume the role as Managing Director of the new facility. "The goal was to make this theatre as nice as the larger theatres in nearby cities and give residents a great movie-going opportunity right here in Plant City rather than having to drive 20 to 30 minutes to see a movie."
Premiere began working on the project with the owner of the shopping center, Developers Diversified Realty in 2007, and explained its vision to transform the property into something extraordinary which would keep Plant City residents in Plant City for their entertainment and become the catalyst for leasing, dining and customer activity in the Lake Walden area.
The renovation included the addition of new restrooms and the complete gutting and re-building of the cinema and installation of all new equipment. "It's a major first-class refurnishing," according to Premiere's Director of Building Operations, Larry Delaney. "The theatre has been completely updated to current code, new stadium seating and projection equipment, restrooms, concession stand, ceilings, floors, it's a whole new theatre now."
The cinema seats over 1,400 customers in 8 auditoriums and features first-run movies at competitive prices. "I've had a lot of compliments about our concession and ticket prices," added Ms. Demers. "It's an exciting place to see a movie but we've specifically kept the prices affordable to movie-goers and it's really nice hearing customers talking about that."
The cinema anchors DDR's Lake Walden Square center located at 220 West Alexander in Plant City. Plant City is located on Interstate 4 about thirty minutes from Tampa and sixty minutes from Orlando. The center is surrounded by other major retailers including Wal-Mart and Lowe's.
Premiere offers advance sale tickets on-line from its website, or tickets can be purchased at the theatre's box office or any of its concession terminals.
