Premiere brings new Cinema to Burleson, Texas

Texas-based Premiere Cinema Corp. announced today the opening of a magnificent new state-of-the-art cinema entertainment complex at the new mixed-use development Burleson Commons in Burleson, TX.

Premiere manager and long-time cinema veteran Matthew Guy has been named Managing Director of the new facility and transferred to Burleson in March. "I've personally never seen a city more excited about getting a theatre to call its own," said Mr. Guy as he walked through inspecting details of his new theatre prior to opening. "In a word, I'd call the customer response overwhelming".

Burleson has experienced above-average residential growth over the past decade and both residents and city officials have been lacking a cinema within the city catering specifically to Burleson residents. "When we got the call from the developer to operate the new cinema, we were thrilled," he added. "I know they looked around and had a lot of choices but ultimately they felt Premiere was the perfect fit for Burleson and we agreed."

The cinema will have 14-screens and seats over 2,000 customers. The motif can best be described as contemporary-deco, a mix of old and new that combines classical with whimsical. "The idea was to create a feeling of ambiance in the decor, a place you feel good about going," according to Mr. Guy. I think people will attend in a large part because of the quality and the atmosphere as much as for the entertainment value, and we hope to keep them coming with our customer service and competitive prices. And our restrooms are something to see as well," he added, "the most incredible I've seen in a theatre anywhere."

Premiere offers movie-goers all high-rise stadium seating with digital sound systems and Premiere's luxurious high-back rocking reclining love-seats, a full-service concession bar and back-back with self-serve butter, chili, cheese and other great amenities including a video arcade and private party-room which accommodates up to 40 for movie-birthday parties. The grounds are elegantly landscaped featuring a small lake with a fountain in front of the theatre and wide boulevard entrance for easy access.

The cinema anchors Cullinan's $55 million mixed-use retail center at State Highway 174 and F.M. 731 known as Burleson Commons, which is located about fifteen minutes south of Forth Worth. The center is surrounded by nearby Target, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, and various retail centers and restaurants on Burleson's thriving south side.

"A cinema is a big driver for restaurants and other nearby entertainment," said David Watson, managing principal of Dallas-based retail developer Direct Development. He said synergy between the movies, shopping and restaurants will help the center succeed. "That'll be wonderful for Burleson. Based on the activity generated by the theatre, you should see more restaurants and entertainment districts coming," added Watson.

The theatre offers advanced on-line internet ticketing from its website. Tickets can be purchased at the theatre's box office, guest services counter, or at any of its concession terminals for customers wanting to buy tickets and concession in one quick transaction.
