Premiere screening raises $1,000.00 for Aggies' G.L.O.W.
Over one thousand dollars was raised benefiting NW Horizons and a sponsored orphanage in Honduras at Premiere's screening of "Sandlot" for G.L.O.W. (Giving to Light Others' Way"). GLOW is comprised of the Aggie Men's Club and Maggies which schedule fund-raising events for worthwhile causes.
"Thanks to Premiere, Maggies and Aggie Men's Club were able to raise a little over $1,000 for G.L.O.W. which was amazing!" said 2008 GLOW Director Lauren Lambert of the event. "Everyone loved the movie and for a lot of people it was their first time to Premiere so I know a good impression was made!"
G.L.O.W. followed up the event with a race on Texas A&M Campus at Rudder Plaza on February 29th at 9:00 p.m. with free Jamba Juice, Powerade and a live band with "tons of door prices handed out," according to Ms. Lambert.
Premiere's Director of Marketing Matthew Guy added, "Premiere donated the screen and acquired the film for them as this is a great group of people who do great things for the community. The event was a great success for them and we plan to work with G.L.O.W. on future events as well and keep building on the momentum."
