Premiere Rolls Out School Fundraiser At The Movies

Premiere Cinemas announces its exciting 2008 Fundraiser Program, partnering with schools to help them raise money using the Premiere Fundraising Movie Card. The program allows school groups, churches and qualified charities to sell discounted ticket packages and keep a portion of the proceeds to further their fundraising activities.

"A big part of the Premiere story has always been supporting our local communities and youth groups every way possible," said Kristi Davis, Premiere's Information Officer. "Being a parent, I know kids get tired of selling candy bars and magazines for fundraisers, but the Premiere Card gives them a fun and entertaining fundraising program that they really enjoy."

Becky Tice agrees. "We are using the movie card to help raise $5,000 for our Project Graduation for Barber's Hill High," she says. Mrs. Tice is one of the parents sponsoring ProGrad, a program for Barber's Hill High School located near Baytown, Texas; the program will be redeemed at the Premiere Stadium Cinema in the San Jacinto Mall on I-10 and Garth Road.

Houston-based FMA, Inc. helped create the School fundraising program and has been busy contacting school and church groups about the exciting new initiative. "We are calling high schools, junior highs and church youth groups telling them all about the Premiere Cinema fundraising program," said John Finlay, President of FMA, Inc. "We are actively working in all major markets where Premiere operates and plan on expanding the program to all markets over the coming year."
