In loving memory of Mary Hamby
December 5, 1938 - December 30, 2007.

The Panhandle community of Hereford, Texas turned out in huge numbers today to honor the memory of longtime Premiere Moovies Six manager, Mary Hamby, who lost a brave battle with cancer last week. Mary had been general manager of Moovies Six since it opened in May 1997.

"Mary was our dear friend and associate," said company CEO Gary Moore. "She was an integral part of the Premiere family and an inspiration to her staff. She loved her work, her employees, and her community, and Hereford was a better place because of Mary."

In honor of Mary, Premiere has established the Mary Hamby Memorial Scholarship Fund which will provide scholarships over the coming years to outstanding and deserving employees of Moovies Six in the Hereford area. "Mary always referred to her staff as 'her kids', and loved them like a mother," said Moore. "The scholarship in her name will ensure her memory lives on and future generations can also benefit from the positive influence she has had on the community these past years."

Mary is survived by three children who reside in Amarillo, Kevin Hamby, Scott Hamby, and Susan Richardson.
