Premiere Acquires and Renovates Mall Theatre

Premiere Cinemas announces the opening of the recently-acquired UA-10 in the Mall of Abilene, and the facility barely-resembles its former self with new high-rise stadium seating, beautiful eye-catching aesthetics, new digital surround systems throughout, and comfortable high-back rocking chairs replacing the old sloped-floor fixed-back seats formerly used.
"This was a wall-to-wall renovation," said Premiere's Director of Building Operations Larry Delaney. "The entire theatre was essentially gutted, restrooms and all, and we started over converting it into a full-blown state-of-the-art Premiere just like our new ones."
The cinema, a long-time anchor in the Mall of Abilene, had been closed by its previous operator in December. Premiere acquired the facility and began renovations in January to make the summer movie-season. The cinema's General Manager is Don Snyder, who opened the theatre originally when it was built in the eighties and has been there since.
The theatre will feature first-run mainstream Hollywood movies in a deluxe Premiere Cinema environment.
