Premiere Nasa Cinema Renovations Completed

In the words of two young popcorn-munching movie-goers overheard in the lobby last week, "This place is awesome!" Their mother quickly added "The change is incredible; we love it! We'll be here every week."

Such comments were in response to Premiere's renovations at the Nasa Dollar 8 completed this month. Director Eric Minyard said today customer feedback has been overwhelming for the changes. "Our goal was to make it as nice and comfortable as the newer theatres which have sprung up over the past decade", he said. "Now it's not only Houston's best movie-value, it's a great new movie-going environment as well where people can come and enjoy more movies more often."

Comfortable new chairs with cup holders were installed on a curve-radius for better viewing angles and wider spacing for increased legroom. Crews installed new carpet and aisle lighting, computer management systems, and created new sizzle for the theatre's landmark tower which stands overlooking the freeway. The facility was retro-fitted with digital sound systems and technicians upgraded projection and sound systems.

The facility has long been Houston's most popular sub-run venue entertaining tens of millions of customers since opening in the late eighties. Normal ticket prices remained $1.50. The theatre is also home to Houston's regionally-renown Rocky Horror Picture Show Troupe which performs a live interactive show along with the film each weekend at midnight with props and costumes.
