"It was an exciting day to say the least" according to officials of Premiere Cinema 16.

Hundreds of movie-goers turned out Tuesday to participate in Premiere's annual campaign to help stock the Brazos Food Bank's pantries in preparation of peak holiday season needs. "Our concession stand turned into a virtual can food store for a day", said Premiere's Director Andrea Fletcher, who helped coordinate the event. "By the end of the day we had collected over 1,400 pounds of food."

The food items will be distributed to those in need throughout the holidays.
